ZODIAC. Montre Zodiac triple calendrier, phases lunaires, automatique, plaqué or, calibre Zodiac Z 74, la seconde génération des calibres automatiques après les calibres AS. Cadran noir, bracelet-montre en crocodile du Nil (crocodylus niloticus) de couleur noire avec boucle dépliant plaquée or. Daté 1950.
Histoire:
Ce mécanisme automatique a été développé conjointement par
Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux et Zodiac. Au début les Zodiac utilisaient un calibre AS 1402 N, on y trouve aussi parfois un Zodiac Z 74 comme dans le cas de cette montre.
Le calibre AS 1402 N était le tout premier, repris plus tard par Rolex.
On connaît bien le fameux brevet réf. 6062 enregistré après que celui d'Adolph Schild ait expiré.

History:
This automatic mechanism is a joint development by Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux and Zodiac. In the beginning Zodiac used the caliber AS 1402 N, or the Zodiac Z 74 as in the case of this watche.The caliber AS 1402 N was the first generation caliber, which later became Rolex with the famous patent ref. 6062 after Adolph Schild's patent had expired.
