Zaha Hadid - Alessi - Set of 3 Flower Vases

[ translate ]

Designed by Zaha Hadid in 2005, set of three Alessi Crevasses. When designing these vases, Hadid was inspired by the shapes of a deep crack in the thick ice of a glacier, known as a Crevasse. These vases were shaped entirely by hand which makes each one absolutely one-of-a-kind. This makes the Crevasse a perfect example of Hadid's explorational style towards complex fluid geometries and usage of cutting-edge techniques that demand extreme artisanal attention. These vases are in new and unused condition. Delivered with original packaging and documentation. Zaha Hadid: Zaha Hadid (1950 - 2016) was a British Iraqi architect who studied at the Architectural Association in London, where she qualified in 1977. She was a teacher at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and was a visiting professor at Yale University. She began her professional career in 1979. Her major completed projects include the ''lf one pavilion'' at Weil am Rhein; the Mind Zone at Millennium Dome in London; a tram station and car park in Strasbourg, the Vitra fire station and a ski jump in Innsbruck. Zaha Hadid is also well-known as a painter and designer. She designed products for brands like B&B Italia, Magis and Cassina. Hadid's work has been shown in various exhibitions in the United States, Japan, Britain and Germany.
