Zelda no Densetsu: The Hyrule Fantasy - CGC 9.2 A+ Sealed [Yellow "Disk System" Text, Early Production], Famicom Disk System Nintendo 1986 JPN. Although many players associate The Legend of Zelda with the NES, the game actually debuted in Japan as Zelda no Densetsu: The Hyrule Fantasy for the Famicom Disk System. As such, this release represents the true first edition of Nintendo's groundbreaking adventure classic and the beginning of one of gaming's most celebrated franchises. Further, this is an early-production copy denoted by the "Disk System" text in a yellow font, which was later changed to white. The game revolutionized the industry with its expansive, non-linear action-adventure design, encouraging exploration, discovery, and player-driven progression in ways no console game had before. Its influence can be seen in countless titles that followed, including its many excellent sequels. It also introduced enduring icons of gaming culture, including Link, Princess Zelda, and the villainous Ganon. There is minor wear on the sticker seal, but overall this game is in excellent condition. HID09710052018 © 2026 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
