A diver's rare vintage wristwatch with date Cal. 2562PC, Case No. 336D533, Dimensions 38 mm, circa 1972, Origin Schweiz Case: Steel, screw back, screwed winding crown at 4:30, bidirectional rotating reeded bezel, folded Zenith/Gay Frères steel "ladder" bracelet, stamped 2/72, bracelet length 155 mm, total length 200 mm. Dial: Silvered, applied luminous indexes, luminous hands. Movm.: Automatic. Originally intended for the Italian market, the DEFY comes in a case made from a heavy block of stainless steel. The timepiece was designed from the outset to be a waterproof timepiece. The DEFY model was introduced at the same time as El Primero and is fitted with a "high frequency" automatic calibre 2562PC with 28,800 vibrations per hour. The movement itself is suspended on a synthetic rubber ring that protects it from shocks delivered to the case. Dial and luminous material of indexes and hands have acquired a strong patina, which lends this watch a new and different beauty. Despite the age-appropriate signs of use is this DEFY in very good original condition. Case: very good, worn. Dial: very good, slightly oxydized. Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended.
