Whose ball is this?
Felt pen and Ecoline liquid watercolor on paper for an illustration intended for the back cover of this album published in 2006 by Glénat editions.
18.7 x 29.7 cm
Like all children their age, Titeuf and his friends are passionate about football. The matches seen on television are good, but those that can be played in the street are so much better. As soon as they get the chance, they drop their homework and meet up to play together. As for technique, there are still things to improve: ball control is sometimes approximate, passes lack a bit of precision, and shots are not very well aimed. Moreover, it's not very fair play to run away at full speed and abandon Titeuf like that. The friendly butcher in his neighborhood, who was surprised to see the ball land in his display window, doesn't seem to appreciate it: he would like to know who is the author of this magnificent free kick.
