A large French 1936 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze by Hubert Petitot holding a bowl in clear frosted molded-pressed glass. The 'bronzier' Alexandre Petitot started his company in 1878. His son Alexandre Hubert took over in 1917. Together with Hettier & Vincent they became one of the largest producers of French art deco lighting in the 30s. The chandelier on offer has a bowl with a diameter of 45 cm. This model was created and produced for Petitot by Muller freres and was made in a smaller 40 cm diameter version as well. The pendant on offer is the rare large one. The total height of the chandelier is 68 cm. \r

The pendant is in very good condition. Some insignificant very small chips on the rim (see last two pictures) . I have re-nickeled the mounting. The fixture is rewired and holds an American standard socket. For Europe I will place a E27 one so you can use our normal electrical bulbs for it. And I will add a high quality LED bulb to the parcel. \r
