MATERIAL(S) : very hard red wood with a shiny patina of manipulation, with strings around the neck as necklace decoration. DIMENSIONS: 28 cm of height for each piece. STATE OF PRESERVATION: important antiquity cracks on the face of the masculine figure; cracks on the backside of the feminine one; without any restoration. PROVENANCE: former André Defyn collection, former African Art dealer in the 1970s/1980s, transmitted by descent; Farafi Gallery in Aix en Provence.
