antique Gau in silver - Tibet - late 19th century

An ancient reliquary worn as a pendant, it could contain written prayers, amulets, images of Buddha or other auspicious objects. This silver "Gau", adorned with turquoises, is a valuable and authentic testimony of Tibetan antiques. The condition of the object is overall good considering its age (it is a true antique) .
