A stunning looking and very rare late c1820 Georgian cut crystal glass jug and basin toiletry set.
The set is very large and decorated with a combination of relief diamond strawberry cut, hatching and bridge fluting. The hatched lines are not perfectly regular, indicating that it has been done by hand. Given the fragility of the material, glass, it would have been a specially made piece and is probably unique. Condition is very good for its age, with just a few small edge nicks to the basin. The jug is in perfect condition.
