c1840 Pair of Royal Porcelain Factory Berlin KPM Large Urn Jars

A finely hand painted and gilded pair of c1840 Century German KPM Royal Berlin Porcelain Factory large lidded urn jars in near mint condition.
They were made by the Koniglichen Porzellan Manufactur of white porcelain with a reeded body and bordered by beaded edges. They are decorated with painted flower spray scenes, floral decoration and having painted eagle finials on the lids. The quality and detail of the painting is extremely good. There is no damage to either of the urn jars. The bases of both urns have the maker’s marks of a red orb with the letters KPM and the blue sceptre. Both marks confirm the period to be 1837 – 1844.
The Koniglich Porcelan Manefaktur (KPM) was created by Frederick the Great when he bought Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky's factory in 1763.
