c.1930's Indian Epic Motif Diamond Gems Platinum Gold

Inspired by Indian epic, lovely set consisting of a pair of earrings and a pin. It depicts Hanuman, a Hindu god and an ardent devotee of god Rama. When Rama's younger brother Lakshmana was severely wounded during the battle against Ravana, king of Lanka, Hanuman was sent to fetch the Sanjivani, a powerful life-restoring herb, from Dronagiri mountain in the Himalayas, to revive him. The earrings and the pin are made of platinum and gold and set with single cut diamonds and French cut rubies and emeralds. The earrings are 1 3/4" long and slightly over 3/4" wide and weigh 13.3 grams. The pin measures 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" and weighs 12.9 grams. The set can be sold separately.
