Rare cameo made on dark sardonic shell at the end of the nineteenth century and beginning of the twentieth century by the master Mario Balzano in Torre del Greco, a town located in the center of the Gulf of Naples and flagship in the creation of works of art on shell and coral, and who operated until around 1967.
Of decent size, 8. 4 x 6. 5 cm, it weighs 30. 8 grams of which an estimated 18k yellow gold is approximately 5. 5 grams.
It features a chariot pulled by 4 horses with a winged fame and 13 putti.
Of great workmanship and meticulous construction, very rare and difficult to imitate.
