le Carré (John) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, first edition, signed by the author, to the title page, with autograph signed slip of Alec Guinness loosely inserted, original cloth, slightly bumped to spine ends, corners, and extremities, edges a little foxed, dust-jacket, chips to spine ends, corners and extremities, a few small tears, two repaired with tape verso, edges slightly browned, otherwise a very good example, 8vo, Hodder and Stoughton, 1974. *** A very good copy of le Carré's spy fiction staple, adapted to television in 1979 with Alec Guinness starring as the protagonist, George Smiley.
