MH WORKER talks about workers' work, patience and care, raw materials to be transformed, imperfections. Of tenacity and time. Which flows slowly because it is that time that ensures that each piece produced is unique. In a world that is based on digital, we return to working with hands that are not afraid of scratches, cracks and calluses.
BRUTAL LIKE LIFE
It is the First World War, and there is a need: to rebuild and return to normality. We need to design buildings that are functional, simple, with inexpensive materials, that create aggregation, unity and that are useful to the community. Community buildings. Functionality at the expense of aesthetics and standards of perfection.
Mh Worker is inspired by Brutalism for his new creation. Concrete vases, assembled without formal mediation. There are no frills, they are massive, heavy, solid. Essential and direct. In the Mh Worker style each piece is unique and handcrafted. The shape is given by shapes that transform with each creation, concrete is the result of balances that must be respected to last.
It is not just a furnishing object, but brings with it a form of life and this stands out above the concrete, proud of being able to reclaim the stolen spaces.
