Signed at the left bottom by the maker: Takaki Yasunosuke 高木 保之助 (1891-1941. With a goldish brocade mounting. Roll ends made from glass. In good original condition with some signs of age and use. Please see pictures. Including original hinoki cypress box with the signature of the maker. by the way: The former German ambassador to Japan, Wilhelm Solf, organized, together with the director of the East Asian department of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Otto Kümmel, an exhibition of modern Japanese painting in Berlin, which took place in early 1931. Takaki Yasunosuke was one of the exhibiting artists.
