Size of the binding: 4 1/2 inches x 8 3/4 in., facsimile license leaf; title-page; pp. 1-111 (with the verso of 111 blank) Samson Agonistes title-page. Pp. [1]-101, with Omissa on the verso of page 101; facsimile errata leaf. The later reading of loth (rather than loath ) is present on page 67 of Paradise Regained; page 98 of Samson Agonistes is numbered 98 (rather than 68); page 37, verse 175 is doat'st (mentioned in a penciled note in the errata leaf). Bound in full, dark brown crushed levant leather, by Riviere & Son, with their stamp on the lower front cover leather turn-in. With five raised bands on the spine, and gilt-lettered titling and designs in compartments, gilt and blind-stamped borders, and designs on the covers, all edges gilt, tan antique-style endpapers. Light wear to lower cover corners, a small gray (paint?) spot to the back cover. Dark green library cloth-covered slipcase. The licensing and errata leaves have been identified as exact facsimiles in this copy. A near fine copy, with the later reading of loth.
