(Lacking half-titles, otherwise excellent). Contemporary black/very dark blue half straight-grained half calf bound by John Bird, bookbinder, of London (labels at the front of each volume), spines elaborately decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers (some damage to joints, corners bumped). Bookplate: an unidentified Baroness (armorial bookplates); John Schaaf snr. (Santa Barbara, Ca., inscriptions to front blanks, dated 1964).
