Antique Chinoiserie Figural Porcelain Plaque & Bronze Tray - A diamond shaped tray featuring a hand-painted porcelain figural portrait of a woman playing a long-necked stringed instrument (a Barhu or Erhu). The plaque is bordered by a bronze Asian motif frame. Raised gilt enamel accents of bamboo branches, flowers and butterfly. Of European origin. Signed "LM". 1 3/4" H x 18 5/8" W x 13" W. Condition: Minor normal wear. Some very minor crazing to plaque.
