Republic Period Chinese Cong Vase

Large and heavy Chinese "Cong" shaped vase. 10" tall on accompanying base 11 1/4" tall. This is a very elegant Republic Period Vase in a pretty medium blue background and estimated 1920's. The Piece Is Hand painted on 2 opposing sides with branches, leaves and flowers. Well detailed Bird on each side. The other two sides have faux elephant handles and an applied ring head by the elephant trunk. The Square Shaped pitch has a rounded foot on the base and upward curving opening at the neck, which is also decorated. Base Has No Markings. Accompanying Stand has a old Hong Kong Sticker on it. These Cong Vases were Often Drilled At The base For Lamp wires But This Piece Is Flawless With No Holes.
