ca. 1837, labeled by artisan Lucy Leuchars, London, the inkstand inlaid with brass scrollwork on an ebonized ground, and mounted with a brass carrying handle flanked by ink pot compartments, the center stamp box labeled on the bottom.

Notes: Leuchars worked from 1829-1837, her final year being Queen Victoria's first year on the throne. The label on the bottom advertises her wares and is marked "To Her Majesty and the Royal Family".
