Three piece coin silver tea service by Stephen Richard (active New York 1801-1829) to include 1) Teapot with hinged lid, rose finial, embossed foliate band, fluted lower bowl with engraved heraldic crest in medallion, ebony heat shields, footed base. 10" h. x 11.75". 2) Conforming covered sugar bowl, 8.25" h. x 9". 3) Conforming open creamer, 6" h. x 6". Sold with 4) Gelston & Co., New York coin silver open waste bowl, similar but not identical decoration, 5.5" h. x 6.5". Approx. 81.5 troy oz. Condition: Creamer slight askew with bend at foot point, dings to lid of sugar, other very minor dings and wear.
