A CINNABAR LACQUER 'BOYS' ROUND BOX AND COVER
China, Qing Dynasty, 19th century
Most of the outer surface is carved with lotus scrolls, the medallion topping the lid carved with boys within a landscape planted with pine trees and erected with pavilions. The inner part and the below are blakc lacquered. A spurious Qianlong mark to the below and most probably a later addition.
