Anglo-Indian Tortoise Shell and Bone Dresser Box, early 20th c., the arched top with pierced bone decoration, over sides with like decoration, on paw feet, the interior lined in orange velvet, H.- 2 1/2 in., W.- 8 1/2 in., D.- 3 7/8 in. Provenance: The Collection of Ronald Ralpheal Levert, proprietor of Goudeau Antiques, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Condition Report: Condition consistent with age and use. One ¼ inch area of loss to shell to back corner, proper left side of lid, otherwise no other loss to shell or bone details. A small area of separation of bone motif on proper right rear of top lid. Three “L” shaped corner bone elements are cracked at joints. A few small areas of cracking or warping to shell throughout.
