Richard Blake, (20th-21st c, American Sculptor, PA Artist) Bronze Sculpture "Madonna", depicting a kneeling woman, bronze with original patina, signed Blake 1995, Edition 4/7 C, exhibited at National Sculpture Society Show 1997, 31-1/2" x 25-1/2" x 13", excluding 2" base, excellent condition, Blake is a highly regarded sculptor working in Lancaster and Chester County, PA, He is a former President of the National Sculpture Society and a fine arts instructor at West Chester University, he has produced numerous sculptures for private and public collections, most notably a large statue of Martin Luther King in the Peace Garden at California State University as well as public statues of Frederick Douglass and Milton and Catherine Hershey
