Hammered silver bowl. Made by Sebastián H. Meyen & Co. , active in Berlin, Germany, between ca. 1846 and 1950. With proper German hallmarks. With an inscription on the front to add historical value. Provenance: from the private collection of the Von Puttkamer old and distinguished family. The name Puttkamer is derived from the Slavic word Amtsbezeichnung; free translation "Putcumer". Some family members were very well-known in the political, military, historical, or scientific fields. In 1903, a female branch of the von Puttkamer family received an award for her work as a leader of a Christian Woman's Association. The engraving on this bowl is probably related to that event. An exceptional bowl in neat condition. In vermeil inside. Dimensions: height 7. 5 cm, diameter 17. 8 cm Weight: 240 grams Amazing collector’s piece.
