18th Century oak 8 day longcase clock by Sam Richardson, Stoney Stratford, the plain oak case with arch moulded hood over arched aperture, moulded arched waist door on a panelled base. Brass face with Roman and Arabic originally silvered chapter ring having rocking ship to the pediment, around the frame of which is engraved 'Peace and Love', subsidiary silvered seconds dial and date aperture. The face 16 x 11.5"approx. 8 day two train movement with baluster pillars, striking on one bell. Overall 220cm high approx.
