A STONE PEDESTAL IN SHAPE OF A SCHOLAR ROCK
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The stone pedestal beautifully carved in openwork as a pierced rock formation with angular surfaces and projections, the stone of a nice grey hue with darker inclusions, with a flat and roughly polished top surface for displaying beautiful objects on it.
Condition: Very good condition with some age-related wear.
