16th C. German Full Suit of Armor
Complete suit of armor for field use, made in Nurnberg (Nuremberg), Germany, circa 1570, original in all parts; the helmet with a one-piece forged bell and a pointed visor, the chest piece with rust hook and rosette-shaped forge's mark, the entire arm and leg set with shoulder. Nurnberg inspection mark on the arm. This is an extremely rare and, in its completeness, high-quality German suit of armor, of museum importance. Comes with appraisal letter from Jurgen H. Fricker, dated 11.25.1991 (see photo).
