formed of a shaped main plate embossed with a slender rib and stamped with the mark of the Ottoman Court Arsenal at Hagia Eirene (one small internally patched repair), decorated in the centre in silver koftgari with a calligraphic panel within a frame of incised lines, further panels decorated with silver around the edges (losses), retaining two slender engraved side-plates each joined by links of riveted mail (small losses)
