An early 19th century South African colonial silver snuff box, Cape of Good Hope circa 1800 by William Godfried Lotter I (1748-1810, first mention 1770)
Of rectangular form with a hinged lid with reeded rim. The lid with an engraved vacanth cartouche below tied ribbon and crossed laurel below. The interior with a central division, further divider. Marked to the interior of lid WGL (Welz 86).
