An antique, 17th/ early 18th century French Corpus. Both the face and the body is carved with a lot of expression and beautiful details. The folds of the loincloth and the serenity of the face lend this carving depth. 36 cm high, 24,5 X 5,5 cm wide Overall fairly good in condition considering age with beautiful patina and a small loss from one foot and a few wormholes, the arms are possibly of a later date. The marble block is for display purposes only and does not belong to the carving.
