Lithograph in blues and deep red on a blue field, numbered p.c. and pencil-signed & dated '83 in lower right. Giuseppe Santomaso was born in Venice, the son of a goldsmith. Santomaso studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, and was one of the co-founders of the progressive Italian artist group ‘Nouva Secessione artistica italiana’.When traveling to Paris he took an interest in the French Avant-garde artists and became a representative and supporter of abstract art.
