19th-century oil on canvas portrait of Marie-Louise d'Orléans (1662-1689), after a 17th-century portrait painted before her marriage to King Charles II of Spain. Having a carved giltwood frame (H 35", W 31") that bears a plaque that reads "Anne Marie d'Oréans From the Collection of His Royal Highness the Duc de Vendome".
Condition: Cut and relined. Has been cleaned with remnants of varnish throughout. 1/2" x 1 1/2" repair with overpainting in the upper center. Two 2" lines of overpainting on the left side of the painting. Small area of overpainting at the lace of the sitter's dress and two points at her right wrist.
