Round, 19, 6 mm cal barrel at the nozzle with remains of groove for a belted ball (pitting on the inside), with foresight, clutch for the bayonet, foldaway sight leaf. Lock signed "1853 ENFIELD", marked "VR" under the crown and marked. Full, wooden stock with brass mounts, iron ramrod, patchbox with brass cover. Signs of use and time, some pitting. Complete with bayonet marked "OSBORN" and remains of mark, with brass handle and quillon.
Attached are historical notes collected by the owner and information on the marks also present in the lower part of the barrel.
