formed of slightly curved rectangular panels arranged in three tapering vertical groups, the lowest lame embossed with a pear-shaped moulding, each with pierced border, previously encrusted with silver, all joined by mail of alternating solid and riveted rings, the latter of circular-section wire (losses, areas of pitting), one plate struck with the mark of the Ottoman Court Arsenal at Hagia Eirene
