A Victorian sterling silver coffee pot, Sheffield 1855 by Hawkesworth, Eyre & Co
Of rounded circular form, the curved spout opposite a moulded C scroll handle with ivory insulators fitted to moulded scroll junctions. The hinged disc lids surmounted by a detachable cast flower finials with leafy calyx, the lid with engraved foliate scrolls to edge. The body with engraved decoration of foliate scrolls forming a rocaille C scroll cartouche, one side engraved with a crest of a horse statant, saddled, and bridled, the other with cluster of plums. Fully marked to side, part-marked to finial, the lid with lion passant only.
