IMPERIAL AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN NAVAL SILVERPLATE SALVER

Berndorfer Metallwaren-Fabrik or Berndorf Metalware Factory (Austrian, 1843-1938), mark registered 1880, not after 1918. Large Imperial Austro-Hungarian Naval Alpaca silverplate salver or tray, having a shaped rim, and foliate scroll decoration with central oval having the Austrian Habsburg imperial crown above a fowled anchor. "Berndorfer Alpaccasilber" and "K/88" marks to front with "8" to the underside. Approx. h. 1", w. 23.75", d. 18".
Condition Report: Surface scratches; minimal plating loss; no apparent engraving removal.
