Miss N. Brent early 18th C. American Watercolor

This early American watercolor, circa 1710/20 by Miss N. Brent is a copy of a French engraving. It is entitled "Le Travail. All Employed" It depicts a busy family, including a boy at his studies, a daughter playing the harp, and a mother teaching her child the alphabet, while their pet dog sits beside her. It is presented in a quality gilded gessoed frame, with a backpainted lower border containing the artist's name, the title of the work and the origins of the image. Iit measures 12.5" tall X 14.5" across.
