Pipistrello is a lamp designed in 1965 by Gae Aulenti for the Olivetti showrooms in Paris and Buenos Aires, later mass-produced by Martinelli Luce. It is part of the Mo. MA (Museum of Modern Art) permanent collections. Pipistrello is a table lamp. Its name (which means “bat” in Italian) refers to the lamp shape which recalls the bat wings caught in the moment preceding the complete spreading. The lamp height is adjustable thanks to its telescopic base.
