Gem set, pearl and enamel Holbeinesque pendant, 1870s
In the form of a Latin cross, set with cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, cushion-shaped rubies and applied with polychrome enamel, the cardinal points suspending a pearl, the reverse chased with a foliate design, fitted case stamped Asprey.
Pearl untested for natural origin.
Condition Report:
Unsigned. Length including bail approximately 62mm, gross weight approximately 13.4 grams. Some very minor losses to claws/metal at edges of rubies and some shallow losses to enamel visible upon close inspection, otherwise overall condition good.
