A late Victorian silver lidded jug or ewer, of swelling cylindrical form, the body with alternating plain and foliate embossed lobed decoration, leading to a flared and collared rim, and hinged domed cover with finial, the whole raised upon a circular spreading foot, with wood handle. Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1899. Height 8" (20.25cm). Gross weight 13.2ozt (411.6 grams).
Condition Report:
- Displaying general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.
- Some areas of tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Lid slightly loose on hinge, with possible solder repair where hinge joins to collar.
- Spout slightly bent and misshapen.
