English, late 19th century. Carved mahogany foot stool in the George III taste, having tufted leather upholstery, brass nailhead trim, and rising on four acanthus decorated cabriole legs with webbed ball and claw feet. Unmarked. Approx. h. 20.5", w. 24", d. 20".
Condition Report: Structurally sound. Inner springs feel stable. Leather is structurally sound to frame with no tears or holes. Also with discoloration and fading to leather with general wear, commensurate with use. Legs refinished with some stain residue to brass studs. Also with scuffs & scratches to knees and legs. All studs present.
