A Victorian Silver-Gilt Mounted Glass Scent-Bottle cum Vinaigrette and Pill-Box, by William Thomas Wright and Frederick Davies, London, 1867, Retailed by F. & S. Schaffer, 27 Piccadilly, the circular glass body with a hinged silver-gilt cover on each side, one opens to reveal a compartment for pills, the other a pierced grille for the vinaigrette, with a further hinged cover for the scent-bottle, 8.4cm high
Condition Report:
. Fully marked inside vinaigrette and pill box. Further part marked inside lids of both. Retailers name stamped inside all three covers. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the gilding. There are some bruises to the cover.
