An early 20th century French 950 standard silver novelty egg cup and cruet, Paris circa 1900 by Emile Francois Formed as an egg upon three chicken’s feet legs, the pull off lid formed as a chick head poking through the shell, drill pierced as a salt or pepper. The interior of the lid gilt, with a screw thread cap. Marked to base and lid bezel. Height – 8.2 cm / 3.15 inches Weight – 80 grams / 2.57 ozt
