A Michael Cardew Winchcombe studio pottery teapot, circa 1929, decorated in a honey glaze, inscribed 'S.S. Pulteney' and with the date '1929', impressed marks to base, height 18cm (some glaze flaking), together with a handwritten letter by Michael Cardew, dated '12 Nov 1970', the teapot having been made by him for the captain of the S.S. Pulteney, which he had sailed upon.
