An early 19th century Scottish Grandfather clock by Thomas Logan, Maybole (Ayrshire). 8-day weight driven time and strike movement with a Brass dial, Silvered chapter ring, Roman numerals and cast Brass spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial and Date aperture. Mahogany case with contrasting line inlay features a flat dentil molded crown over an arched dial door flanked by turned reeded columns above a narrow waist with long arched door flanked by reeded quarter columns and a simple base with short bracket feet. Older finish with wear and some shrinkage, running when cataloged. 18 x 10 x 80" high overall. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500
