19th Century German Wood and Terracotta Plaque
A 19th century terracotta plaque with a wooden frame in a two door style. The terracotta plaque features the sculpture of a woman looking out of a window with a teacup and a ball of yarn. The woman wears a dress with a lace collar and a lace bonnet. Attributed to the Johann Maresch Studio in Austria.
Dimensions are: 29 1/2 inches tall X 22 1/2 inches wide, 74.93 cm X 57.15 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Loss to the wooden frame around the upper edges, a chip in the terracotta left window shutter and rim of bonnet. There is discoloration to the terracotta and the whole piece needs to be cleaned.
