FOUR PCS, CHINESE MAINLY CRACKLE GLAZED PORCELAIN
Chinese. Group of four pieces of crackle glazed porcelain comprising: a lidded wucai ge ware ginger jar decorated with warriors, a blue and white bowl having a brown meandering patterned rim and decorated with dragons chasing a flaming pearl surrounded by bats, and two small cream and blue ge ware bottle vases, the smallest decorated with a horse in a field with a bat above. The ginger jar retaining two paper labels, the smallest vase with Chenghua type mark. Provenance: From a Private Collection, Birmingham, AL, by descent; acquired in China between 1901-1926. Approx. of the ginger jar, h. 15", dia. 7" (without stand).
Condition Report: Bowl with chip to underside of rim; firing and glaze imperfections; no other apparent chips, cracks or restorations when examined under ultraviolet light.
