A GROUP OF THREE NETSUKE OF HOTEI AND KARAKO
Japan, 18th to 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868)
The first of dark wood depicting Hotei seated and clutching his bag, next to him a karako subtly pulling the bag in the other direction. The second of wood, carved as two karako in Hotei's bag, one is holding a fan. The third made of dry lacquer and depicting the lucky god Hotei leaning against his sack.
LENGTH 4.2 - 6.5 cm
Condition: Overall good condition with some wear and a couple of tiny chips.
