A Two-handed Flamberge
Heavy blade with ridges on both sides with wavy edge and a central point. The strong ricasso has parrying guards curved toward the point. Extended rectangular forward-curved quillons, terminating in three decorative spirals. The large guard rings entwined around fleur-de-lys motifs on both sides. Wooden turned grip with remnants of the leather cover. Slightly grooved double tapered pommel and a spherical riveted button. Germany circa 1580, length 169 cm. Condition 2
